Lowering the stang. Quick question

Well I'm going to bite the bullet and do it. I'm going with steeda sport springs/pan hard bar and Tokico Dspec shocks/struts. Now what am I going to need to get the front realigned properly? Camber bolts? Anything else?

All I care about is the drop I don't need extra handeling stuff.

And how about labor, around $300?

Some guys have been able to get the front end within spec using the Steeda sport springs and some haven't. Camber bolts would be a good idea and will allow the front end guy to get the camber adjustment more in the middle of the acceptable range. $250-$300 is about right considering what they'll be installing.

I see you have steeda springs, which kind?

Also, does that chin spoiler rub any pulling into driveways etc.? Thats the only thing I worry about. I was actually wanting the eibach pro kit but I don't want to mess up my painted chin spoiler, I figure the steeda sports would be a safer bet.

PS you may need a new jack...I got a flat on I10 a week ago and my jack wouldnt fit underneath the car...unless you will need to carry a small piece of wood about 2" in hieght with you all the time to drive onto just incase....

I've got the Steeda sport springs. I just recently removed that front fascia all together and installed a Street Scene Gen 2 fascia. The chin spoiler was 5'' from the ground being lowered 3/4''.

you should be good with just camber bolts. get siome 14mm camber adjusting bolts and it should be good to go at the alignment shop. i used Ingalls, part number 35420, and they were under $10 each. eibach and many other companies make them as well, but some places are more expensive than others.

Those Ingalls only allow 1 degree of adjustment. I would go for their 2 degree adjustment bolts.

I'm about to lower my 07 with Ford Racing K springs, and all I'm doing is slotting the struts to give me the adjustment I need and tightening them down when I have them in spec. This has worked perfect for me in every car with MacPherson struts I have lowered.

says +/-2* of adjustment with one bolt, or you can add a second bolt and get +/-4* of adjustment....

you can slot the strut, ford has a mark for the acceptable tolerances on the strut, but not my preferred method.

You can do the camber bolts now if you really want. If you have tires that wear quickly it might be worth your time.

Otherwise wait for Maximum Motorsports full CC Plates that they are working on that will allow for maximum adjustment and alignment. And also be a hell of a lot stronger.

I saw that brand somewhere yesterday, I didn't know if they were any good or not. Guess I'll just get those then.

I've already ordered the steeda ultralites, D-spec S/S, and steeda panhard bar. I cant wait.

I actually ordered the stuff through the brenspeed website but Brent called me and said the ultralites were on backorder till the middle of Jan. He offered to sell me the steeda sports ($50 higher) for the same price as the ultralites. I thought that was cool of him to do that.

I did find the ultralites at american muscle though in stock.
