I was just looking through LateModelRestorations $100 parts list, and they have their subframe connectors for $69 on special. They are full length and have the seat reinforcements also (Pretty much look like MM's full length kits). Anyone using these? Just wondering if they are good, or should I spend the extra $100 and get a different set like (MM or Ford)? Thanks!

those are fine. there is honestly no sense in spending the extra 100$, at this point your just paying for the MM name. box tubing is box tubing, it's not like the lrs sfc's are paper thin

Thats what I figured. Actually the MM sfc's are around $100. So I'd only be saving $40. But like you said, the name is all your paying for. LRS prolly just made a replica of MM's sfc's. Thanks!

The MM ones are longer. That being said I bought the LMR ones for my previous Stang and the were excellent! Cant say enough good things about them. The car was so much more solid and all the squeaks went away, it took bumps WAY better and the handeling was much improved

Any idea how long that special is running? I'd like to have a set, myself, for teh Notch and Frankenstang could sure use some SFC's for her Capri, and that's a pretty decent price on 'em.

Slather on JB Weld, slap the things in place, and use duct tape to hold them there until the JB Weld cures.

Stupid girls
All SFCs should be welded in. Sure some say bolt in but they suck. It cost me $70 to have mine installed but they also had to weld three seat brackes back on from them breaking over the years.

Also, that sale has been running for 2 years now

Don't they have some full-length SFC's on eBay for like $50? Unless I'm looking at the wrong ones, those LRS SFC's are only standard-length...

The ebay ones are very thin metal. The LMR ones are way thicker. I have had both styles too and couldnt tell a difference between FL and SL versions
Only need the FLSFC for hard core racing I believe.

'Kay. Frankenstang, disregard my last e-mail where I suggested getting the eBay SFC's. I had assumed they were the same thickness.
