Hah, got your attention But seriously, why not?

I was at the Chevy dealership last night looking at a new truck to pull the RV - prices are awesome right now. Of course, the new Vette was on the show room floor. The salesman asked if I liked the Vette and I said "Of course I like it. She's really nice, almost as pretty as my GT. The only the wrong with it is the LS2 should be in my Mustang GT parked outside" He looked puzzled, looked outside and said "that is one beautiful car". Within 5 minutes all of the sales people and some of the customers were outside checking out the Stang. It was actually pretty funny Yup But I was really telling the truth! I would love to have the LS2 in the GT!

With enough time, effort, or money, you can drop any engine in any car... but there are much cheaper and easier ways to get 400+ flywheel HP out of a 05 Mustang GT then dropping in an LS2.

If you really wanted a high-displacement, pushrod small-block making lots of power N/A you could drop in a carbed 351W stroker setup, 393-427 ci that would make over 500 streetable flywheel HP. Throw in a Dart aluminum block and it might actually take off some poundage, too. You also wouldn't have a Frankenstein car (GM/Ford hybrid), as an added bonus.

I guess I should clarify a little. Just looking at the LS2 was a treat - it is really a nice looking, well placed motor and looks bad arse. No offense, but atleast they do not have electrical tape holding all of the wires together like our Mustang - the electrical tape is coming off in mine and looks very tacky. The LS2 looks like a high performance racing motor and would look really nice in the Mustang.

I tend to drive with my hood down, so I wouldn't buy a motor based on how it looks. But I do like JasonLee0704's suggestion. More power! ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh

Unless you're one of the unlucky bastards with the hood flex issue. Then you'd get a good look at your engine every time you hit 80mph.

What's the hood flex issue? First I've heard of this.

You drive fast, your hood looks like it's gonna bust out in dance like Michael Jackson at a pre-school sleep over.
