Any one have an idea of how much power can be expected for a
SLP Lt header with SLP o/r x pipe
over
BBK shorties with Bassani o/r x pipe?

Shorty: 1-10(10 is being very generous)
Long Tube: up to 20ish +/-5

its rumored to go shorties with o/r midpipes (backpressure issues) but i cant offer you any insight into that, sorry

Shorties are a waste of time. Just get LT's(if you got the money)and a tubular k.

Well im new here but I give you my opinion. I bought some FRPP shorties and after sitting around for ai while I decided if I was going to do it to go for the long tubes. Keep in mind this was my first mod to my car. After what seemed like a 3 day nightmare come true I finaly got them on and test drove it. I also installed 50 series flows with them. Honestly I did feel a gain in acceleration but not enough for the pain and agony of the installation. I also lost money on selling the shorties. Thinking back now, I would have done the shorties. By the way to this day I still have to retighten the bolts and let me tell you Its a PITA!!!. If your going to do longtubes pay someone to do it.

not legally, but then again youd have to go to a smog place that is really gonna be that anal about looking around the whole engine bay for mods. if you can find a hole-in-the-wall smog shop, they prolly wont notice them at all, theyll just look for cats and vacuum line diagram and make sure you dont have an intake and **** like that.

It always amazes me the people that bash on shorties that have never had them or for that matter headers.

Odds are you'll pick up another 5-15 rwhp from switching from your current setup to LT's.
