lube question

a couple of noob question. whats the "best" mineral oil? castrol gtx? and are the suspension/ body bushings and ball joints on these cars greasable? thanks

I have used Valvoline for the past 20 years with no known problems. Currently, I have tried Motorcraft blend in my stuff, especially where a 5w30 is called for.

The original tie rod ends and ball joints are usually not greasable. Most of the replacements are.

Just about all of the name brands and most of the off-brand oils are good. I usually use Chevron.

Right. Most of the bushings have to be disassembled in order to grease them also.

I've also been using Valvoline for a number of years with excellent results. I can also attest to the quality of the Motorcraft blends especially the 5w30. The motor in my Mustang was spotless inside other than typical oil varnish when I pulled it apart at 168,000 mi. It had been fed a steady diet of Motorcraft 5w30. If that damned rubber pan gasket hadn't deteriorated and plugged the oil pickup I'd never have had to pull it apart.
