Coming from an F150, they had rather large 14mm wheel studs and therefor a high lug nut tq of 150 ft/lbs. Anyone know what the stud size is on our S 550 mustangs and the recommended tq on the lugs?

Just looked at the FRPP site and the stud size is 14 mm x 1.5, just like the trucks. Still don't know the tq spec.

I go with 85 Ft Lbs so that I can get them off in a future date. Just be sure to re- torque the nuts after driving a few miles.

Most OEM for alloy rims seems to be 100 ft lbs. Been using that number forever myself.

Most Ford lug nuts have a torque spec of 100 ft/lbs. I'll double check in Mitchell when I get to work in a couple of hours.

Thank you. I'm not surprised that it's 150, given the stud size. Now I know when I take off my wheels for whatever reason.
