In the process of install a new exhaust on a 90LX. The passenger tailpipes went in without a problem but the driver side doesn't want to go over the axles. Is there a specific trick or does stuff like wheel and shock need to come off.

Thanks.

It's just a PITA. I don't remember which, but I ended up having to remove one of my upper control arms, to get my tailpipes on.

On mine I just jacked the car up, and had to twist the exhaust until it went on, mine are the factory tips.

jack up the car somewhere on the frame so that there is more room between the frame and the axle, take off the wheel and the quad shock and twist it till it goes in.

I just did this on one of my Mustangs.Put the rear body(frame) up on jack stands(as high as you can) a good jack in the middle of the rear end,do one side at a time remove the rear bolt of the quad shock, upper control arm bolt on the rear end and the bolt on the shock that connects it to the rear end, then just lower the rear end.It worked for me, good luck
