LX to GT brake conversion???

As some of you may have know my buddy has an 87 ex 4cyl. car that is now powered by a 460, he is wanting to swap out his old smaller lx brakes for the gt sized brakes!

We pulled my wheel off of my 87 GT today and his LX, and took an inspection of the two, and they spindles seem to be different!
We are taking it that the lx spindles wont work with the gt front brakes, and we know of a tbird SC at the jyard that might still have them on it! Can he swap the tbird spindles out and use the bigger stock gt brakes? If so, what year will he need? Basically, if we cant find a GT with spindles on it, what other vehicles can we use them from?

You are gonna need new spindles from a 5.0 car, the calipers, new brake lines and the rotors.

The T-bird SC will not work because it's a MN-12 chassis car and has a very similar front setup to Sn95 Mustangs (similar, but cannot be used for a swap)

I beleive Fox body thunderbird TC's have the correct spindles that you can use but they are hard to get a hold of.

Better off looking for a complete 11" brake setup in the classifieds. They go cheap since they are pretty crappy and worthless brakes. Any 11" setup off a 87+ Gt or 5.0LX will work fine. Just makes sure you get everything
