I noticed these MAC 8.8 Rearend Covers on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33731&item=2461095447

Now anyone using a MAC cover? How are they? Are they just as good as Trickflow or T/D ones?

Thanks

I think they are all pretty good and all better than stock. 2 questions do you really need it? and Two will it fit over any mods you may have back there?? They all provide extra strength for real abuse but still not sure if they are really necessary!!

I have one, don't notice any difference over stock other than the looks. Seems to fit fine, no leaks or probs with it. Been on for about 2K miles. Did it when I changed my gears, went with a Eaton posi, and used the stock caps.

Its one of those mods that you dont notice any difference, and thats a good thing. You dont really wanna notice your rear end grenading

I was considering a girdle since I do 5000rpm launches at the track. I've got an Auburn diff already but still have the stock axles. I just want one to make sure it's got a little extra protection from the hard launches.

You guys make this seem like its a power adder. Your not going to notice a difference. Thats like saying your valve covers added power. The cover support is a great idea and really helps keep the caps from flexing and of course the whole housing. Any brand is going to work just fine, and of course they also look rad from behind. I just hate how they all have the brand name cast into it. I dont care to show off my Summit brand loyalty!! The 8.8 aint no 9 inch so it could use some extra support, but it aint absolutely necessary if your not pushing a lot of power. I'm stoked about my rearend. I just got it finished and installed with FMS 3.55 gears, Auburn Pro, 31 Spline Superior axles, and the cover support. That should be pretty stout!!
