Mac Cold Air Intake....question

I just installed the MAC cold air intake last night. while installing , i noticed that there was a small HOLE . Not as in damaged or anything . It came like that. The hole is on the Pipe conecting the mass air to the throttle body. Its at the bottom of the pipe(when turning the pipe over, you can see it)!!!! does anyone know what that hole is for?? should i keep it open or close it or what??

Sounds like a hole for the temp sensor, which I know 99 and 00 GTs have, but don't think 2004s do. There should be some sort of plug or something with the kit to fill the hole since you don't have a temp sensor. You don't want unmetered air getting in there.

there should be a plug in the kit,just pop it in,and your done.just installed mine at christmas...

yeah mustangs before 04 have a sensor there...there should be a plug in the kit, if there isnt, make one
