mac exhaust???

i am not a fan of mac, but i want a prochamber. i was going to get bbk ceramic longtubes, but i am thinking about just going with mac headers since i am getting a prochamber. i guess i am just worried about buying mac exhaust, even though i know alot of people have it. i don't want the headers to look like crap after a year either. the bbk ceramics look awesome.

i read that mac as a new ceramic coating. is this true???

are the hts coated the best ones they have???? they have them on their website for ($269).

it sucks that we don't have more longtubes to choose from!!!

i just read the reviews on mac longtubes. wooowww!! alot of people are saying they are junk!!!!!! i think i am either going to just get the bbk longtubes with a mac prochamber or have jet hot coat some macs (depending on how much all of that costs).

what would you guys do???????????

I have MAC long tubes and I'll tell you they're not junk. I don't know what everyone's problem is. Mine fit together perfect and still look the same as the day I painted them. (And I used cheap $5 exhuast manifold paint from the auto parts store). If I were you I'd get the new ceramic coated option. I think it comes to $300 for the long tubes with the ceramic coating. Only $60 more than I paid for my uncoated ones. I think I have a pic on my site of my headers if you wanna check them out.

yeah, but if you didn't paint them, they would probably be rusty. even with the ceramic. People have said that there ceramics have rusted in 6 mths. Also, i don't really want to paint them.

Your choice, but it took me like a half hour to do a few coats on each header. I just roughed sanded them and coated the 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me' out of them. Here's a pic I found...

Jet Hot coating costs 300 dollars so that is definitely not worth spending on headers that only costed 269. Goodness, for that amount get some Hooker super comps or something.

What Jake has done seems like a good route for you to take. Cheap, and still look nice.

No, MAC sells long tubes with ceramic coating already for $300 total. Killer95stang (or something like that) has them on his white GT.

Oh I agree. I just though that was what rio was referring to earlier because he was saying the MAC ceramic rusted out in 6 months anyways so I thought he was talking about sending it to jet hot.

You were probably looking at pictures of the "industrial coated" MAC's. Those are just nickle plating. The ceramic coated MAC's just came out a few months ago. The only one I know that has them is Killer95stang.

Yea get the MAC's in ceramic. I have the chrome ones and they have turned blue. I bought the BlueGone from The Eastwood Company but it turn blue shortly after. If MAC had ceramic back when I bought them I would have spent the extra cash. The Prochamber still looks brand new after a few years. Even my MAC cat back is in great condition.

I think he got his stuff from Mustang Warehouse. I heard something bad about them a few months ago, but I got my pro chamber from them and they were really good to me.

I just installed Mac longtubes which are Jethot coated inside and out. I bought them new directly from jethot for $435. Jethot These header are beautiful. I went with the Mac shorty h pipe bought from Mustang Warehouse. I wanted the prochamber but was told it would interfere with my future torque arm install.

I guess I'm getting kinda famous as the first to try the new MAC ceramic LT's... Actually, I still stand behind them.. for fit and finish.. Although I live in Sunny CA, and the car will never see rain again if I can help it... But now that I have had them on for a couple months, I can honestly say they are a great product for the money, which require no modifications, theirs plenty of clearance around the starter, floorboards, and K-member... Plus the EGR bung fits pefect with the stock EGR tube...

Also, the coating is only on the outside.. which doesn't matter to me, because right I after I started the car for the first time, the inside was black..

And... I bought them from [email protected] Apperently this is the owner of Pacifica Mustang Parts in Temecula CA, which just so happens to be located accross the street from MAC...

danny's the man. i bought my mac cat-back off of him for $200 buck brand new still in the box. it was a clearance sale. when it comes time for the longtubes, i'm going to get them from him forsure with out a doubt.
