MAC straight shot or STEEDA CAI which is better

I was looking at the Steeda CAI and the MAC straight shot and I was wondering which one gives you the most HP on a Mustang GT

I just got the Steeda CAI and i gained 2mph at the track... i got it for the looks though... still on stock tires so times wont tell yet

Niether, buy a throttle pipe from Densecharger and use your air box as a heat shield then drop a K&N all together it'll cost you about $100
Steeda CAI $200
Mac CAI $179

Just buy the the Densecharget CAI TB to fenderwell its like $200 if that and it will give you the best performance gains, both the MAC and Steeda are chrome and will heat up faster than the plastic Densecharger.

i had the mac( old one) the type that was like the dence charger. fender well type. it was terrible! made the car hesitate a bit in every gear. once the car got going it seemed to be a small pick up over stock. however it had the 90% bend that the d/c also has and i hear that some people have lost power because of that.

i got the steeda one and it looks awsome compaired to the other.
i would say i got a decent gain over stock and a small gain over the mac. cant really tell but the car runs smoother now and has no more hesitation.

i think it was because of the bend in the old pipe, car wasnt breathing right.

The Steeda CAI is not metal...it's some sort of high tech plastic...kind of looks like metal though.

I like my Mac Straight Shot.
Guess it all comes down to what you want your engine bay to look like.
HP improvements....well, I felt a nice SOTP improvement with my Straight Shot, no dyno #s though.
Engine bay bling factor is really nice though. Looks great for shows and gets a lot of compliments
