The price of these things is climbing. They are now about $125 and climbing. I remember when i got mine for $50!

That leads me to wondering, has anyone ever had their stolen? There's not much holding it on. A good couple tugs and you can get it off.

Makes me wonder if i should put a few screws in addition to the plugs to make it a little tougher

The American Muscle chin spoilers are those shiny rubber ones. Their different than the stock Mach 1 chin spoiler.

They'll have a hard time stealing mine. I used 1/4" bolts with lock washers and nuts. I used the three pushpins to attach it at the two ends and in the center while I drilled the rest of the holes.

I dont think having your chin spoiler stolen will happen.
First of all only true Mustang Modders even know what they are, and that
they can be added. I have never even seen one on a V6.
So if you know what a chin spoiler is you would go ahead and get a new one.
Nobody would want mine...... its got some curb rash and is slightly warped.
It is sad how much we have to pay for plastic.....

They actually stock both. If you ask for plastic pins you get the flat back more pointy one. If you ask for bolts you get the shiny flater shaped one.

I'd put some pop rivets every 18" or so accross underneath if ya are that worried about it. They are cheap, quick, smooth finish and look factory. Also effective . . . hard as hell to defeat a pop rivet without a drill or destroying the item in question in the process.

I did'nt know they stocked both. I would have rather had the flat black one, but they gave me the shiny rubber one.

Is the flat black one the stock Mach 1 chin?

I got my chin spoiler back in 2003 when it was $50 or so. I beleive it's a ford peice because it has a Ford part number on it.

Mine has a little curb rash. I'd ebay it and get a new one if the damn thing wasn't $85 from Ford.

How is the shiny black one? Does it stay glossy? I'm kinda sick of having to put Back to Black on mine to keep it shiny
