Hey everyone. I have a 96 GT with the stock Mach system. I recently purchased a XM Roady 2 Sattelite Radio and I want to intall it in the car. I want a clean install so I am trying to avoid using the casette adapter and at the same time I am trying not to use FM modulator because of sound quality. Does anyone have any suggestons on what I can do to acheive this? I really appriciate the help in advance.

I would go with the FM modulator. If you can hear the diffrance in sound quality of that little bit but would rather have a tape adapter running threw your car then there is somethign wrong. LOL. I hooked up my pioneer Via Fm modulaor and it sounds sweet. Ditch the wires. Spend a few bucks get a fm modulator take some time hook it up right and you will not be dissapointed. belive me. i do tons of car audio work if you do it right it sounds perfect.

you think the FM modulator sounds bad? You are running your signal from the antenna to the side of the roady to another cord which is running to your tape which is running to the back of another unit. Skip that crap go from antenna to one box from that box to the back of the main unit. It uses thicker better wires. then let the roady get the input from the fm modulator. I have seen this done on s lot of cars. Who wants a wire running to your tape deck across your dash to a little box? Hide it all behind the dash. Just my .02 if it were me i woudl sell the roady and get a pionner cd player and xm reciever it looks a lot better when installed. but i am very pickey about wires on the inside of my car. to each his own.

Hey man get the wired FM mod that delphi makes and use it sound quality will be great, I have the roady as well, the wireless mod sucks ass I will take a pic of where i have mine mounted for you, looks so super clean no wires dangling around or anything, and best of all i did not have to cut any holes in the car to mount it, also if you have a coupe you can put the antenna inside on the back ledge right against the seat it works the same and then you do not see it on the car. The thing is that the Roady has a buit in wireless FM modulator and it sounds like *****-literraly. Unless I can get an FM modulator like you were saying and run it directly behind the headunit, I am not sure what to do. Well, there is this:
