mach 460 help

I have a 94 with the Maach 460 system.

I have a aftermarket head unit wich works great. I went to place the 5"x7" speakers in the front doors and noticed I was only getting bass from the speaker. Is this because a stock cross over? Are these built in the stock amps? If not or so do you know where the drivers side amp is located? My goal is to bybass the crosover all together?

I dont know if this helps you or not but Im pretty sure our mach systems are like 4 ohms and your new head unit should be 2 ohms( might be the other way around not sure though) but most people I have talked to say when you get a new head unit or speakers you have to disconnect the mach amps and rewire the whole system. Sounds like a pain in the a$$ doesnt it.
