Mach 460

I say go for it if you want...I'm switching my stock 04 GT system over to a Mach 460 system....Mainly to get the 6 DISC in-dash changer....To me thats worth all the trouble right there.....Most of your stock stuff is already in place you just need the main wiring harness from the rear subs to the radio...Its not that difficult, but IMO its worth it over the terrible stock system...To each there own......

How hard is it to install a complete mach 460 system in a 98 GT? Anyone ever done it and if so do you know of a site that can walk you through it?

Not to be rude but that is kinda retarded, for a stock system the 460 is ok, I mean it is made by sony! but I have never heard of any one upgrading(if you even want to call it that) their car audio with a factory set-up. Listen to what everyone else is saying, it is a Pain in the A$$ to take apart all the wireing so i cant imagine going through all that just to put it in. I'm not sure what cd/tape player you have now, but if your set on somthing new do your self a favor and look around ebay for a nice cd/mp3 player (u cant beat 100+ tracks on 1 cd, unless u have an IPOD) u can get one with the mp3 feature for about $100-200 depending on what other features you want.
thats what I did, just my 2Cents

right now I still have the stock 460 speakers but Im sure I wll upgrade sometime. If you are still set on the 460 shop ebay, I sold mine for $30.

I understand what Get E Up is saying, as I am currently gathering parts for a Mach 460 setup to go in my car.

The main reason I want to do it, is that I like the stock looks and it is the perfect setup for what I do.

I've also helped a few people convert their interiors to black, which involved more disassembly then a Mach 460 will, and it wasn't that hard at all.
