Just buy the one that fits your budget and needs and have fun. They're all nice cars. You need to decide by driving them and judging the value for what $$'s you spend.

If you have the cash a 03 cobra is the best but imo the best bang for the buck is a GT. Brand new GTs for under 20K is a whole lot of car for a compact car price.

The mach 1 is a better car and is an awesome car too, but more expensive.

I think the mach 1 is way better than the 01/99 Cobra or 99+GT. Its faster stock and looks much better. The shaker is just cool.

does the mach have dohc or sohc? also, whats it sound like stock? never got to hear one.

The mach is DOHC 32 valve.

I tought that the mach1 came with the same 3.27 gears as the GT ??

Oh yeah, btw, does the pre 03 cobra came with the 3650 tranny like the mach1 and gt ??

No, the Mach has 3.55's from the factory. 99/00 GT's had the T-45, and I think in 01 they switched to the 3650. As for the Cobras, I think the 99/01 Cobras have the 3650, but I dunno.

I love my Mach but I just can't get the cobra out of my mind. If I had the means I would trade.

I raced a 99 Cobra in my 02 GT and beat it by 1 car link in the 1/4
I raced a 04 Mach 1 in the 1/4 and got beat by 2 car links.

Just Food for thought.

My food for though is telling me that you either got a '99 Cobra that didn't have the fix, and/or are a better driver than either of the guys running the Snake or the Mach.
