As you could see below, I have a 98 GT with 60,000 miles. I have been saving some $ and am aiming at some good hp. Question is should I transplant a used mach 1 engine or go with the KB supercharger. I really like the KB but I kind of wonder how much more life I would get out of my engine that already has 60,000 miles. Plus the additional cost of the KB. The other option would be to PP and PI headswap, but I don't think that would give me near enough hp. I want to have enough to make sure I leave the 2005's in the rear view. Cobra transplant isn't an option due to cost. You have the floor.

If you have a really good connection to get the engine put in for not too much labor cost, I think the Mach1 swap would be good. Curious how much you are buying that engine for?

I think you should sell your old car and get what you want, too much needs to be updated with the Mach engine or the SC and resell value would be a joke if you had to sell it. 98=lots of work plus whole drive line change than you add in a tranny because yours won't handle the power your better off with a new car IMO.

I put P&P PI heads. You don't have complete rebuild up there. I would rebuild the motor bottom-up. This will give you a new foundation to do what ever you want with. That way mileage wouldn't be an issue when looking into parts.

I think you should just get the PI head swap (What's PP?) and call it good.. You've got 284 RWHP on a Mustang Dyno. That's good for 305 RWHP on a Dynojet at least, which puts you 30 HP ahead of a stock '05 GT. The PI headswap will just add to the difference in power. Get your '07 Shelby and mop up the competition with that, plus a nice down payment with the money saved.

think long term.

put the mach in and now the KB later. 2v blown really doesn't compare to blown 4v.
