How much time am I talking to get my flywheel resurfaced? I can't imagine it's very involved. could I just tear my tranny out, get the flywheel, drive it to a shop in my mom's car, get it machined, and put it all back together in like 8 hours?
We just had our flywheel resurfaced at a local shop a week ago. The process takes less that 30 minutes so it all depends on how busy the shop is. We dropped ours off in the afternoon and picked it up that night. I believe the cost was about $30.
