I just recently got a Pro-M 80 maf that was for a 96-98 cobra 42 lb injectors and am going to send it in to have it re-calibrated for a fox body I thought i had read somewhere years ago to have a naturally aspirated curve put in instead of it being calibrated for a supercharged car... I am currently using a 75 mm bullet that does have the s/c curve but it runs 10.3.1-9.3.1 on my wide band at full throttle ( cruise afr ratio is around 14.8-13.9) I think I've read somewhere they add 12% more fuel up top which might explain why its so fat on the top end for me anyone have any experience using a Pro-M 80 with the N/A curve on a supercharged application ?

Not sure why you are tuning the MAF alone. If you have a supercharger, I assume you have a piggyback chip of some sort on the EEC. I would have the car dyno tuned with the new MAF.

I've had no tuning whatsoever other than fuel pressure, etc.. it has ran 122 mph in quarter mile, it idles decent, overall drive ability is not bad i don't have any plans to tune as of yet, I know its been done before that is why I'm asking for someone who has done this to chime in........

so upon searching this is what I've found so far

" I've heard the Blower specific run a little richer.
I know Anderson recommends the N/A if running the PMS "

"We recommend an N/A calibration irregardless of the tuning device.
Less headaches in the long run."

"An engineer decided that a supercharged application requires more fuel per amount of air measured. It all looks good on paper, but, very rarely works in the real world. Normally, a meter with a "supercharged" calibration will bury the air/fuel meter half way through the curve. It just takes time to tune that out. There is no benefit to it, IMO."

I guess maybe I'm answering my own question
AND validating what mikestang63 suggested that I dyno the car and possibly have it tuned

It's "Old School" tuning & that's OK. Most now just use chips or ECU's.
You can recalibrate the MAF and/or add an FMU.

BUT recalibrate the MAF with the supercharged curve or the naturally aspirated curve ? and i don't believe i need a FMU with 42lb injectors

Don't fool with the meter. All that really accomplishes is degrading the meter resolution in order to put the MAF curve into smaller readable portion of the sensor.

Give the 30 point transfer function to your tuner and let him do the rest.

its $50 to have the data sheet created or $100 to have it re-calibrated... as of right now i have no plans to have it tuned I'm trying to figure out which calibration to use until i decide to have it tuned ... since i already have a meter that has a supercharged curve I think I may just have it re calibrated to a naturally aspirated curve ,so i will have a little over $100 in this meter

This is for an 80mm Pro-M calibrated for 42lb injectors. Your tuner will fine-tune based on AFR.

Don't forget to send me $50.
