I recently bought an 88 5.0 cali car after an idiot totaled my 92. The 88 is stock expect for headers and exhaust. I had been reading that the MAF (55mm) can be directly changed out with a 95 (70mm). I was wondering if anyone sold an adapter so I would not have to cut any wires. Thanks.

They have the plugs here...

Or you can splice it in yourself...

I looked at the RJM website and the one there look likes it has 6 pins. The one on my car has 5 pins. There are 4 wires using A, C, D, and E. So I would need an adapter that has a male 5 pin rectangle connector to a female 4 pin oval.

94-95 Mustang GT MAF - $40-$100. It is 70 MM instead of the stock 55 MM on regular stangs built prior to 94. It uses a slip on duct on the side that goes to the throttle body and a 4 bolt flange on the other. You need a flange adapter to fit the stock slip on air ducting that goes to the air box. Wiring plugs right in with no changes. *1 *2

*1.) A metal flange adapter is available from: http://www.kustomz.com/cat3.html . Buy the TR70 for $44.95.

*2.) MAF & sensor interchange
The 94-95 Mustang 5.0 MAF & sensor is also found on:
1995-94 Mustang 3.8L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
1994-92 Crown Victoria 4.6L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
1995-94 Mustang, Mustang Cobra 5.0L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
1994-92 Town Car 4.6L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
1994-92 Grand Marquis 4.6L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
The A2A, AA, AB, etc, on the end of the part number are minor changes that do not affect the calibration.

Doesn't the side with the 4 pins need to be female so it will plug into the sensor. Also the other side as 6 pins and mine as 5.

It looks like the pic JRichker posted is for adapting a Fox MAF to an sn95 Mustang
???

I'm sure they have a plug for your application.

However,
I haven't seen a 5 plug MAF harness before. Are you sure it isn't a 6-plug?
If the plug isn't a 6 pin, then you may have the wrong part?

sorry I'm not more help,
jason

I looked at all the links you guys posted and all have 6 pins and mine has 5 pins. I don't know if it is because it being a cali car. On the sensor it has A, B, C, D, and E with B not being used. I could splice it but want to keep stock incase I want to go back.

I just saw a pic for the sensor on 89 and it is the exact same as the 95. Ford must have used a different connector on the 88 cali maf cars. I guess I will have to find a place to make a custom one. Thank for all of your guys help.
