MAF conversion fuel pump issue NEED HELP

I converted from Speed density to MAF on my 87 GT today, so far so good but the fuel pump does not turn off after priming. If I leave the ignition in the on position the fuel pump stays on all the time.
Did I miss something?
Note: the wires for the fuel pump relay and speed sensor are wired up to the EEC-IV harness but not connected to the relay yet. I'm using a A9P EEC out of a 89 GT.

Have you tried another relay for the fuel pump? The ECM controlls the ground to activate the relay. But the relay could be stuck. If the ECM is at fault, then I really wouldnt worry about it. I dont see the need to spend $80-$100 bucks on a ECM, just so the pump primes like it should. Unless youre real picky.
 
You can test the ECM controlled ground with a test light. Just remove the fuel pump relay. Hook the clip on the test light to the constant 12v source on the relay plug, and probe the tan/light green wire. Turn key on, test light should light up, then go off. Thats the ECM priming the pump.
