ok heres the problem after doing the h/c/i swap it runs like crap with the 76mm c&l MAF calibraited for 24# injectors which i have... i cleaned it as well.but the thing is when i put the stock MAF back on the car runs twice as good then it does with the c&l but it also runs lean and a bad idle...with the c&l the idle is alot better and so is the AF ratio...is it that i just need a chip or what do you guys think

i think that you need to disconnect the batter in your car, leave the interior light on or something so that the power stored in the ECM will drain. Let it sit for a couple hours and plug it back in. I put my pro-m in and had to let it sit overnight with no power before it would act right

Well, it's always my recommendation to invest in an aftermarket chip when swapping h/c/i in our cars. The reason being, the stock ECU does not take a liking, especially to larger cams and pretty much anything having to do with increased air/fuel.

One thing you might try for now, which you may already have, but disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes and clear the tables on the stock ECU. Afterwards, reconnect the battery and start the car. The idle will be erratic for a few until the computer starts learning what's going on.

The second thing, since you indicated it's now running lean with bad idle, is fuel pressure. You may or may not have changed it, but it's a good idea to have it set somewhere in between 39-41psi if your h/c/i combination falls within those user combos listed here.
