I was wondering if it was possible to remove the bar in the middle of the stock MAF or if there is some kind of sensor in there. I thought I saw a while back where someone had done this, but I can't remember for sure. If anyone knows anything about this please get back to me.

thanks ahead of time,
-kyle

dont touch it it will throw off your readings and screw with your A/F mixture. U can halfshaft your throtle body(cut the bar inside in half)

Werd.

Do NOT mess with the dimensions of your MAF. It's very precisely calibrated and if you remove anything or alter its shape, you'll get incorrect readings.

You MIGHT attempt to polish it, but even then, I'd be extremely careful to not remove ANY material from it. I wouldn't even consider it as being worth it, as it's pretty smooth to begin with.
