I am an 87 mustang converted over to mass air with a 70mm throttle body. From everything I have read from other posts the code on the mass air sensor should start with F2VF. Looking at mine it is F07F-12B579-A2B. From what I found through google one of the applications for this mass air code number is for a 5.0L Ford truck. The car runs pretty good right now, just a slight backfire in the exhaust when it is cold. Can I expect any type of change by changing over to a 'F2VF' mass air sensor? What would be the benifit of changing or what potential problems could be caused by leaving this mass air sensor in?

Thanks.

Looks like it originally came in an early 90's V6 explorer.

I'd just get the correct MAF and know that it's right.
Otherwise, you could try to find the transfer curve for that meter and compare it to a Fox's.

just go with the 94-95 gt sensor if youe going to keep the 19 lb injectors. its a 70mm unit, you will run out of fuel before you have to get a bigger maf.
