When I had my BBK O/R x on my 01 gt with Magnaflow, it sounded NOTHING like chevy. BBK is off now(for inspection), and now it does sound bit like well muffled(Stock) 89 vette. I still like the sound tho

Exactly. This whole debate is so subjective. People get mad when other say they prefer one over the other. Who cares, go with the one you like the best.

I always thought that Flowmasters gave cars that inbred hick's chevy kind of sound.

The hick sound is the straight pipes. The flow through mufflers tend to give that more than a chambered one. You get more popping and noise with a flow through design.

BESIDES I AM RIGHT AND EVERYONE ELSE IS WRONG. I WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU THINK SOUNDS BEST.

Maybe if you hate to say it, you shouldn't say it. That kind of talk is uncalled for and offensive. Say what you want about Flowmasters, but associating them (and thereby their owners) with white trash is bigoted.

I hate to say it but many people associate flows with the winningest muffler in drag racing.

Sorry to have offended anyone. If your not white trash than you shouldn't be offended. It's just that some stangs I have seen around here with flows are driven by white trash. Bad association, my apologies.

i have single chambers on my car and I love them. They drone bad, but being a young kid I love it. Lots of compliments on them too. I am currently looking to do a magnaflow with dumps set up. With 4.10s and lots of highway miles I wouldn't be able to deal with the drone with dumps. I have been told magnaflows dont drone at a constant speed and thats what i am looking for.

Recently a good friend of mine installed a Magnaflow X-pipe and cat-back on his 00' GT.I must say that I do not like the exhaust tone, it sounds like a 350 chevy or somekind of truck with exhaust. This has me re-thinking what exhaust system im going to install, right now im thinking Borla or maybe Bassani (if possible). Also i saw a 03 cobra with flowmaster exhaust and I must say that it sounded wicked.

What??? A 350 Chevy or truck? Just the opposite. I love the sound of mine, and I have yet to meet someone who doesn't think it sounds great. I like the sound of Bassani and flowmasters exhaust but Bassani is too expensive, flowmaster sounds like everyone's mustang around here, and well......it's not stainless. To each his own though. Fear the drone........be very, very, afraid!!!
