My buddy has a 03 Mach1 that he recently added longtube headers and an o/r x-pipe to. He already had the Magna-Packs on there and now it's way too loud for him. I have a 97 GT with the regular Magnaflow catback. We would like to swap catbacks. Is this possible- maybe, for sure,no way? Any ideas on this- Thanks.

Anythings possible, but there is a reason that they sell catbacks for different year cars.If you had a 99+ then you wouldnt have a problem..yea that was obvoius LOL.The rear of the mach should be EXACTLY the same as any 99+...so if anyone has put like a 97-98 catback of any sort on a 99+ then post and tell this guy what he wants to know. Please LOL.

Yes please, more posts. Id really like those Magnapacks on my 97 GT. I do know it's all 2 1/2 inch piping with 3 1/2 inch tips for both systems. I'm thinking there should be no problem.

I'm thinking everything in front of the tailpipes could be the same. I'm just guessing, but the tailpipes are probably the difference between the years. If the tailpipes are clamped into the mufflers on both cars, then just try swapping everything but the tailpipes.

Exactly. The tail pipes are different. But I bet you can swap out the muffler and piece that goes to the X pipe.

Actually, his tailpipes are in better condition than mine. So all we want to do is swap everything but the tailpipes. I'm thinkin maybe the location of the hangers would pose a problem from 96-98 to 03 mach1?
