Magnaflow Magnapacks

I feel for the first time like a legit poster now that my brother a buddy and i installed my Catback exhaust over the weekend.

Just wondering if anyone else who installed one themselves is concerned about clearances to the frame/suspension or fuel tank? It looked solid, but dynamic parts always use to drive me nuts when i worked for Ford and now this non-OEM stuff is driving me nuts with tolerances. Does anyone have a few thousand miles on their Magnapacks that has re-inspected the install for clearance issues or rubbing?

my Magnaflow exhaust came a little close to the fuel tank on the drivers side, but it's ok about 10,000 miles later.

With the exception of the Cobra's that have the IRS, I almost all catbacks have some clearance issues. There isnt alot of room to work with in there. Had I known this, I would have just had mufflers welded in along with some aftermarket tips and kept the factory piping. The fitment has become quite a pain.

I got magnaflow magnapack with upr cats x pipe with no clearance issues. Love my magnapack.

I've had my Magnapack catback for 2 1/2 years. No rubbing, clearance issues, or loosening in the catback at all.

+1....You should try to fit aftermarket tailpipes with a panhard bar.....I 2 wish I would have just kept the factory tailpipes because now mine touch everything back their....

With a Bassani catted xpipe, mine had clearance issues with the rear swaybar. I would hear it hit on every bump. After I installed CHE upper and lower control arms, I had no more issues.

I've probably only had my 'packs on for about 1,000 miles or so, but i'm not having any trouble with clearances, yet.

flyboy86 How do you like the combo..i.e. H-pipe and magnapacks, I have a set in my garage and im debating on x or H.....whats your take......

My Flowpath catback had a problem rubbing against the tank when I had the tails on. The drivers side was pretty much touching it, I couldnt get it to keep away from it and have the tip come out straight.

Either way, it wasnt a problem. There is a sheild around the tank and it showed no signs of heat distortion or abrasions from the pipe rubbing it.

i had some issues with my regular magnaflow catback hitting the rear sway bar. but i just installed mac catback and everthing clears great. im selling the magnaflow catback if anyone is intrested

I have flow 40's welded into the stock piping... trade???

I love my Packs, they are loud as hell when you want them to be. The only issue I have is a little rubbng on my 315's in the back.

Have about 5,000 miles with my packs and I have had no problems.

I had the same problem with my Magnaflows getting real close to the sway bar.
It took a little playing around but I finally got the right combination of twists, muffler position, talipipe etc and now it is fine.

Mine is banging on something back there but I can't figure it out I'm guessing it's the rear sway bar it it's usually when there's a full tank of gas and I go over severe bumps in the road.

Get some masking tape or that blue painters tape and put some pieces where you think it might be rubbing. Drive around a few days and then look at the tape.
You'll be able to see real fast where the clearance problems are.

Put the tape on the car, not on the pipes BTW
