Get Magnaflow no question.
I had a Mac catback before and the mufflers and tailpipes started
rusting. Also the chrome on the tailpipe started cracking and
flaking away day by day.If you like a rusty POS get the Mac.

You should consider the Magnaflow Magnapacks if you
have the regular Magnaflow's.Here is where I got my
Magnaflow Magnapack catback from.

I have Mac c/b, prochamber and LT's. I liked the sound more before the LT's because it was louder at idle, now it's a little quieter at idle and much louder at WOT. and I wouldn't trade the LT's for anything, just stating the slight difference it made.
As far as Mac vs others. I haven't heard magnaflow/LT's combo in person.
I live in florida and have no rust or flaking issues.
I wish it was easy to put the stock c/b back on cause the I could send you my mac and you could send the magna and we could test the difference. I would like to know what other exhausts sound like.

Unless you like highway "drone".....I'd stay away from Mac/Flowmaster (chambered mufflers) altogether.

Another vote for the Magnapacks

yea 03gt i was looking for some one to trade localy but no wanted to. i wish would just swap them but it would be to much of a hassle. i really dont mind drone since i wont be driving the gt everyday soon and it will never seen snow or rain again probably so i wont have to worry about rusting as quick. i was also thinking of spintech sportsman mufflers but there is very little on them.

I've got the MagnaPacks. From what I understand Magnaflows are quieter. Mine sounds pretty good with stock headers and midpipe. I'll bet the packs would sound awsome on your setup.

I have magnaflow with O/R X and it is deff way loud. It dosent sound that good though at low RPM's. I think I might have a leak so hopefully that will get rid of the "Boat" sound????

It’s funny how people are putting down Mac. If you buy the stainless steal version of the catback or mufflers you will have no rust and a top quality product. I love my mac hooked up to my MRT catted H.

People don't bag on Mac because it's the cool thing to do, they do it because they put out a crappy product. Mac Exhaust components are far from top quality. Their construction and fitment is **** and they cut a lot of corners as far as quality control is concerned in order to put out a "cheap" product. With that respect, they rank worse than JBA….and we all know what kind of crap they put out! I'll never buy anything made by Mac or their counterpart Racers Choice, again!

I'm sure this has been talk about before, but I thought you couldn't replace magnaflow mufflers with packs because it wouldn't line up with the pipes correctly?

I totaly agree with Brain.I am not bagging on Mac just because it is
cool.I am only posting my experience with the products I have had
from Mac that is all.I am just helping people on their parts choices.
The Mac catback had the worst quality and also the fitment sucked
and I know how to install a catback also. The Mac throttle body was
the worst throttle body I ever put on my car and it would stick are
current rpm's.I will never buy Mac products ever again in my life.
Topless I payed $376.00 for my Magnaflow Magnapack catback and
I am very happy with it.I also have met Nino before and he is a really
cool cat!

No offense man but you pay for what you get. Mac is the cheapest bottom of the barrel product you can buy. MRT however, is nice.

I had no fitment issues with my stainless version of Mac's catback. I drove my car during are New England winter and have no rust at all, still looks new as it should.
