Hello,

I was thinking of ordering a Catback system and am leaning towards magnaflow.

I'm looking for a Mid-tone system, nothing to loud.

What is the diffence in the Mangaflows vs the magnapacks?

One louder?

Thanks

I'd say it's almost worth it just to do the whole catback because you can install it your self with some simple tools, most people cut the pipes right after the stock muffler to remove. Though getting mufflers is cheaper the cost my be offset by having to go to a shop to weld them in. U can get a complete Magnaflow Catback for less then $400.

There ahve been those who just welded Magnaflow mufflers in to their stock Catback on this site so I do know it's possible.

Yes, it is! :nice: The sound of weld-in Magnaflow mufflers (combined with a catted X-pipe) is deep but mellow. They kind of "gurgle" at idle, and get substantially louder as you step on the gas! It definitely doesn't sound like your typical Flowmaster Stang.

When you can buy the whole system for $328 shipped why bother with mufflers that will cost more than half that? My Magnaflows have been on for three months now and they are just right - not to loud & not to quiet with a nice deep tone.

I was thinking of getting weld in's also but I got drunk and ordered the whole catback. Damn I'm glad I did. It looks and sounds great. Plus it's a bolt in which will keep some resale value if you ever decide to go with something different.

great point to point out if I do point it out myself.
