SCT and EFI both are good choices. i'd recommend getting a a flash instead of a chip unless you are running nitrous or need 4 different tunes. chips are not adaptive like flashes.

I made a similar statement regarding the "adaptibility" awhile back and was jumped on like flies on poo by various tuners/programmers. Evidently, SCT and Pro-M chips are adaptive. I don't know if EFI offers a chip. All I have seen are reflashes.

I can't get it up......ok that didn't sound right.
SCT is probably one of the best out there. They've done numerous tunes for some of the top racers found on these Mustang boards. If any company has a chance of building a good program for your car in a chip, then SCT is probably the guys to do it.

It depends on how you describe "adaptive" is what I was told.
1. Adaptive is used by many to describe how certain tunes can "adapt" for certain bolt-ons, etc. Steeda tuning is often referred to this way because of its claim of adapting to most bolt on performance parts.
2. Adaptive is also used by others to describe how the stock EEC can adapt to weather changes, etc. The engine needs different inputs to run at 10*F than it does on a sweltering 100*F day. The computer can adapt for things like this while old-school chips cannot. For example, they will run with X-degrees of timing all day long, 365 days a year and cannot compensate for an variables in weather, etc. Newer chips like the newer SCT and Pro-M chips can. Maybe others, but I haven't looked into others.

Take the computer out, located on the passenger side kick panel. There have been people asking how to remove it on here before, if you don't know how try a search. Call him in advance, his number is on the modular ford powerhouse web site. It's about $199, and tell him you want the custom tune. I sent in a list of my mods with the computer because he's gonna want to know. Make sure you package it good. Hate to see it broken.
