Today was a very nice day and I was off work, so my car stayed in the driveway all day long while I rotated the tires, cleaned the engine and washed the car. Unfortunately, I didn't get up until noon (work retail and this past week has kicked my ass, so I slept in), so I didn't have time to wax or clean the interior before it got dark, probably because I usually spend almost 2 hours just washing and drying the car. I'm a perfectionist. Here is a pic of the engine after I cleaned it and a short video I taped just for fun.

Mist down the entire engine bay with 303, in a couple days wash the engine bay one more time. Then it will look even better

Are you talking about the 303 protectant that you were telling me about, or do they make some kind of cleaner also? Do you mean I should spray down the engine bay with it, let it sit a few days, and then wash it, or are you saying to spray it with 303 then rinse it off, THEN wash it a few days later?? It's my DD, so I won't be able to let it sit.

Mist the whole bay down with the 303 Aerospace Protectant. Then drive it for a few days, the stuff will get all over the plastic and rubber, it will get everywhere... Then lightly clean the bay (just rinse it really). Wipe off excess water and 303 and it will look awesome for a year or more.

You may have a bit splatter up on the windshield as you drive it, this will not hurt anything but could affect visibility if it rains...

So, just spray the stuff on EVERYTHING? Metal and all? Will the engine not burn it up and smoke?

I don't usually spray anything on it. I cover it up because I worry about spraying anything on it. You guys think it's ok to spray the coil?

Yes, it will get all over everything.

I avoid spraying the alternator, battery, fuse block, and (if I had one) the coil. I cover them with shop rags to prevent direct spray.
