Its almost time to jack up the ride and do some maintenance!

When I buy a vehicle, I do full maintainence on it. I change spark plugs, engine oil, oil filter, transmission fluid, differential fluid, fuel filter, clean/change air filter, clean MAF, and check the ball joints. If this is the first time for you to do some maintainence on your car, I would suggest all that plus new spark plug wires.

I did all of that ( had to change the diff fluids twice, replaced the differential and went w/ 3.73s then again when one axle failed) when I pulled the old motor.

I was just wondering what products people use

Motorcraft oil
Motorcraft fuel filter
Mobil 1 atf/lucas trans fix in the tranny.
Costal gear oil
Motorcraft tailshaft seal
Timkin pinion seal

Pretty much my last tune up on the car. There is a thread about it one the first or second page here. I had a couple of leaks to fix, and I changed my plugs not long ago. Including hooking up my exhaust it was an all day job.

NEVER use Fram oil filters. Unless you have excessive miles, stick with 5w20.

Lol. Sorry about that. Thought you were just asking about what to do.

I use NGK plugs, motorcraft oil filter, royal purple fluids, motorcraft fuel filter, K&N filter.

Fram oil filters suck. I use them on my f150 I had. It made the engine tick, like a lifter was failling.Went to motorcraft no more noise.
