Ok so I think I'm like many other stangnet users who are slightly agitated that they paid $180 for a cold air intake that doesnt work. Personally I bought the MAC brand intake, but theyre all pretty much equally useless. This is because the MAF cannot get an accurate reading on the air charge entering through the filter, and this is ultimately caused because of the bend in the tubing right before the MAF. I tried the Darkwolf mod originally, which involved rotating the MAF in place to see if it changes the readings, but I noticed no change. What I did here was completely relocate the MAF into the fender, with the filter attached directly to it.
1. The fenderwell tube needs to be cut approximately 1" from where it connects to the MAF. Once cut, smooth the edges, and mount the air filter right onto this piece. Bolt the filter at a 90 degree angle to the MAF (to avoid fitment issues). Don't forget to use a hose clamp to secure the filter. See picture below:

2. Next you need to cut about 1.5" off the expanded end of the inlet elbow... this ensures proper fitment

3. Hey lets see the filter/maf assembly in the fender...

4. Use the supplied rubber pipe sleeve and clamps to connect the MAF to the elbow
5. Use your stock rubber intake tubing to connect the elbow to the throttle body (the supplied "bling" pipe is not long enough, but im sure you could make it work some how). Make sure all the connections are tight, plug in the maf and air sensor and you should be good!
6. Use wire to secure the whole assembly in place

Yeah it doesnt look awesome, but it works (in theory and practice). My car does feel stronger, and my gas mileage has improved because the car is no longer running so rich. I just figured people might want to hear how to make their $180 investment functional, because if you're like me, then you were probably pretty mad you wasted your money! It only took me a couple hours to do this (I have lots of free time since Im recovering from a broken jaw/fractured skull). Good luck and feel free to ask me any questions.
