Making Engine Bay Panels

Im going to try and make me some custom engine bay panels, so i dont have to weld in so many holes. My question, what kinda metal do I buy? 1/4 inch sheet metal? If these turn out like im wanting I might start selling them, incase anyone is interested.

1/4 inch!! My God.... that'll add a ton of extra weight and be more work than just welding the holes and grinding them smooth.

Sheet metal son! thinner the better!Espically if you dont have a brake and are forming by hand! I made my own panels on my 89,enjoy. peace

i just bought the panels your talking about from scottrodfab.com i think they were 22gauge steel very nice panels i bought the part# FIC-STL panels
