Ok my lil 88 is hard to get going, expecially in this cold weather.

I will start her up, i cant just pop it in drive it go or it will die.

If i gas it it will bog down and die, if i floor it it will bog and then start revving.

And when i drive it after setting for a while it will bog when i start to go from a stop sign. But after i get driving a for a bit and the engine is warmed up it will drive perfectly.

Will getting a new TPS help my problem? I know a tps will help my bad gas mileage.

If its not the tps that will fix the problems then what could it be?

Thanks for the help.

have you checked your voltage on your Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)? With a volt meter probe the green wire(+), ground the other end of your meter(-) .
Key on , engine off, it should read .90 ish , open the t/b all the way it should max a little over 4.0v.

Check it before you replace it. Cold starts are hard on anything. let it warm up before you go anywhere, theres a reason its a rule of thumb ;)

if its not reading .90-somthing with the t/b closed, you can loosen the two philips screws that hold it in place and slightly turn it till it reads .90-something then tighten the screws.
Then double check your voltage again to make sure it didnt wiggle while you were screwing it tight.
