Hey guys I have a 98 gt with pretty good paint, few chips and scratches but very minor, I was wondering exactly what buffing does. I wanna make it look really pretty but Idk exactly what buffing does and if it will hurt my paint where the chips are.

My advice would be to check out Meguiar's website for their paint care products, they have clay bars and buffing pad advice for the diy.
I have cleaned rock chips with a tooth brush and applied paint with a tooth pick, sometimes it sticks, sometimes it don't, fingernail polish works good but hard to match the color.
