Well as some may have noticed I have been gone for a while.
It has been so that I could focus on my Family which I believe is the most important thing.
On Valentines day I got what to me was the biggest bombshell ever. That My wife was thinking it was time to re-evaluate "us"..
I have tried to remain civil, and do what is right For Our Daughter Jillian.
Sadly this evening I was informed that My Wife has contacted an attorney, and is serious about ending our marriage.
I am so shocked and hurt, and out of it right now I am not sure what I want to do.
I am in it for the best interests of our daughter, and am trying to be strong for her.
So, sadly I am not going to make WFC challenge this year, May be unloading some stuff, and am going to be doing the whole wonderful Divorce thing.
Well thanks for listening, Hope to talk to you all soon.
-Jay ( pretty hurt and not too sure of himself right now)

hang in there, yea i know easier said than done, but you have to try to hang in there, i know what it feels like to be down and depressed, its been a rough year for me too, with a girl i was dating, i though she was the one and i still do but all we can do is hope for it to turn out good, but we here one SN are still all here for you. But didnt you just get married??i know theres probably been some serious talking between you and her but, you should ask her to step back look at whats goin on and ask her if this is all right, maybe you guys should just try to take some time to yourselves if you havent allready, but i hate to see you go down this road, seems like you still love her very much still and it taking a tole on you. Just all this stuff thats goin on in you life right now doesnt meen you have to just stop try. so just hang in there and never give up.

That sucks a lot, out of the blue like that. Divorce is a terrible thing. My parents always used me as a tool for bargaining power. Please don't be bitter, and don't do that to your daughter.

Happy Valentine's Day

women can be unbelievable. Why the hell bother making a vow to stay together for life no matter what happens if you're gonna break it because you got bored and found some stud to 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me'?

I'm very sorry to hear about it. From the way you describe it, she didn't give you any hints or anything. The worst part is that you were trying to spend more time with them.
I wish you the best of luck as you try to figure out what is best for your daughter.

Man, sorry to hear about that, Jay. Divorce is never a pretty thing...I feel fortunate that I've not had to deal with it in my life, not firsthand, but it's getting uncomfortably common. Glad to hear you both have Jill's best interests at heart - I've seen several divorces where one parent puts their own silly squabbles against the other over the wellbeing of the child(ren). We're all here for ya man, remember that.

I am really sorry to hear that, I hate divorce, its such a crappy thing and i hate to see it happen to anyone. I just hope if thats what i comes to Admirable terms can be met peacefully and the child is kept as first priority. We will miss your input here and hope that one day you will be able to continue sharing your wisdom with us.
Good Luck

Paul.

Wow, that sucks man. I'm not gonna ask why because it's not my business but keep trying to do what you need to if you want to change her mind. Sometimes that's all they need to see.

Damn dude !! That has to be one of the hardest things a family can go through, no matter if its for the best or not. If its means spending more time with your child and less time here than DO it, she will need you two now more than EVER before. Most kids think its there fault and you two have to keep that from happing no matter how you feel about each other. Its non of my buisness but it seems like your wife is really upset to do something like this on Valentines Day, maybe some time apart will help her to calm down some. Even though she's got a lawyer there is always hope. I really don't want to over step my bounds by giving advice when I really don't know whats going on, but I will say this if it was me I wouldn't let her go without a fight. Give her some time to recap all the wonderful times you two had together and then try and have a set down dinner or something to try and see what you two can work out.

I wish you the best and I'll say a prayer tonight.

Jay, that's the worst and sad news. I have been wondering where you've been. Divorce is not the answer. I hope Mary will realize that before it's to late. I will be praying for your family.

I never understand how someone can think they can end a relationship with one person, start a relationship with another, leave all the wreckage behind caused by divorce (where no one has cheated on the other), and expect things to be better. I've never seen it be for the better - not once. You just carry your failure on to the next relationship, deal w/ all the exact same issues again.

Hang in there and fight it to the end by trying to get her to press on with you. I'm real sorry.

I'll be praying.

Sorry to hear, man. Keep your head up and the Lord in your heart and it will all work out. Life will always have those trying times. You just need to persevere. Hope all works out well between you too and for your daughter.

I wasn't married but I understand splitting up and having a child also.
Worst thing I ever had to deal with.

Well everything seemed Great, But Mary has decided that she wants to be more free to do what "she" wants to do and not be tied down with a husband.
This all hit me as a total shock, I honestly had no warning it was coming.
She has actually already contacted an attorney and is in the process of filing.
Iowa is a no contest state so even if I refuse it still goes thru.
We are in the process of figuring out how stuff will be divided.
Other than Jillian ( the greatest most important thing/person world to me) I am starting to feel like the last 6 years of my life were a lie/joke.
Thanks for all of your kind words, I hope that everything comes out ok in this For Jillian.
