Im in the market for heads....anyone ever use these? I'm sure they flow plenty of air seeing how they have 235cc runners and a 2.1" Intake valve. As apposed to the AFR 225's with a 2.08 Valve. I'm not really worried about what a head makes at .700 and .800 lift. So these bigger valves should have me at 300cfm by .500 lift.

Only problem is that i cant find technical Data like a flow chart for these

But im assuming if the runners are big and the Valves are big....then i should have no issues. Other factor is the price assembled is alot less than the AFR's.

Thanks Guys,

those heads are over 1000 a piece how much where the afr's you priced. flowtechinduction has them for 1959 to 2000 and if you wanted them to flow a little better i'm sure ed curtis could really get you your moneys worth.

what heads are you using right now and do you have any numbers on your combo as it is.

Well i found them for $730 a head assembled.....thats better than the $2000 i was going to drop on AFR 225's.

My problem is Ed Curtis lives in state. He only seems to do mail order.....so i rather order the heads out of state online and only pay shipping....not shipping + state taxes so they can be shipped literally 30 minutes of a drive to my house.

The heads i have now are 210cc procomps. Big intake runner but with the 2.02 valves they barely flow better than an AFR 165. With that said i had a dyno that made 500lbs tq @ 2000rpm and 265hp @ 4000rpm. Very crappy....the only thing holding my car back is these heads....Intake and fuel system could easily support 800hp.

I contacted ED he said with my combo i would make 530hp with AFR 205's and 25-30hp more with AFR 225's. Those heads have a 2.08" Valve....the World heads have a 2.1" valve...meaning i should move more CFM's at a lower lift. Meaning i can keep this motor under 6500 RPM But easily flow over 300CFM @ .500 lift.

At this point i'm exploring the option of a larger Valve and bigger head for a little less $$$ Even if its a couple hundred.

UPDATE TECH INFO

OK well i called World Products and got the flow numbers from their 235cc 18 Degree Head. I guess ill still be buying a set of AFR's. These numbers aren't on their site.

Flow numbers for Man O'War 18 Degree As Cast/ Ported 325 CC 2.1/ 1.6 Valve

As cast CNC Ported
.400 208 161 252 171

.500 240 171 281 185

.600 268 183 299 190

.700 284 188 315 194

.800 297 190 328 196

Seems like these flow a little less than an AFR 205 until the .700 Mark and don't flow better than a AFR 225 until .800

Seeing how my car won't be Going near the .700/.800 lift it seems more practical to get the AFR's that flow better than the World unit in the lower lift.

I'm comparing the Numbers i Received over the phone from World with the numbers that are in AFR master Catalog that i have here.

I'm sure that for extreme drag racing with possible forced induction that these would hang....But i'm looking for better flow below a .650 lift like i said before.

I do not like those heads. AFR or TFS ONLY for me!

Yeah you know somethings up when they don't openly post FLOW numbers!!!
I'm sure its not by accident. I called TMD from ebay about the numbers on the 225cc procomp head they had posted....because they looked good. Then i went to the Procomp site and talked to a Rep. and came to the realization that TMD lies about the flow numbers on the Procomp heads they sell.

So yeah right now its AFR if i want a decent head.

Does Trickflow sell an inline Race head???
