Manual rack question

I have a manual rack and noticed some light endplay between the movement of the steering wheel and the reaction of the rack. So i know its not tie rod end related, my question is, is there an adjustment in the manual rack to tighten up the slop?

There is no adjustment that I know of. You didn't say wether or not you are running the factory steering rag joint or the Flaming River relpacement shaft. If you are running the factory one you might trying the Flaming River one.....
I run a Factory Manual rack from a 79-81 Mustang with the factory rag joint and I don't seem to notice much play.

I was told it is a flaming river rack when i bought the car but when i compared it to the one on their website it looks different than mine.
