map sensor????

on my 88gt i bought the gt-40 upper/lower, and there is no vacuum line on the upper to run to my mapp sensor, can i just rin a line from the map sensor to the rear of the lower intake(dont know what its called, but it has a little black round thing)
a little lost here and i dont want to start the car wrong

There should be vacuum lines on the firewall, driver's side of it. "T" off one of the lines there for the MAP sensor.

The hole in the lower intake with the "black thing" (grommet) is for your PCV valve.

The plastic vacuum manifold on the driver's side fire wall often has a spare nipple. Probelm there is the MAP and SD use vacuum to control fuel. The lines that are on the vacuum manifold on the driver's fire wall are subject to some vacuum variations as the power brake booster is actuated. The very best thing to do would be to drill and tap a dedicated nipple into the upper intake for the MAP - it really needs to be on a dedicated line for best resutls, that's the why the factory had it on a dedicated line like the fuel pressure regulator.

well theres a spot on the upper manifold where i can screw in a fitting for a vacuum.. should i do that?? also the pvc valve is on the valve cover not the lower manifold... right??? where should i attatch the lil black thing??

Put the fitting in and run the MAP from thje manifoild vacuum. On an EFI intake, the PCV valve goes in a hole at the back of the lower intake in the center where the PCV valve gets inserted into a rubber grommet that slips into the big hole in the intake. EFI never did use a PCV in a valve cover.
