As far as age goes, I think both people should be able to legaly drink alch. at their wedding reception. This is the min. age as far as I care.

:nice: That would suck not being able to drink at your wedding

Count on Joe for a comment like that!

Me and my girl have been going for almost 5 years, although I don't know when our "anniversary" is (she doesn't know that though...LOL). I think it's close to Halloween.

Anyhow, as JR said, it's all about comfort. From the first days of talking to her, I felt like I could express myself freely...with other girls, I felt like I had to be who they wanted me to be.

I've always had the personality of a jokester, so I just can't help that I'm not an affectionate person in public. That's just not me, and I know a lot of girls couldn't stand that. When me and my girlfriend are alone together, she gets plenty of attention and affection, so ultimately she knows that even if I don't show it around my boys, she's still loved the same. It's not like I'm pushing her out, and she understands.

Then there's the trust issue....

I have other friends that are girls. I graduated with about 105 people in my high school class...of that, 70-something were girls. There were only about 30 guys, and, because I went to an "arts school", there were a lot of gay and weird dudes. Because of that, I had more friends that were girls (as opposed to guys).

I know most girls get extremely jealous when their boyfriend hangs out with other girls. Mine doesn't. She knows that at the end of the day (or night), I'll be back with her, and that she means more to me than my other "girlfriends".

It's all about comfort, honesty and trust.

I knew mine was special when I went to Mexico for spring break this year and the following things happened:

1. I left her my car keys and when I got back it had a full gas tank.

2. She waited through 3 hours of flight delays and picked me up at 3:30 in the morning.

3. When she picked me up she was wearing a school girl outfit with pig tails. This actually happened, I swear to god. On my grandfather's grave.

Even though I went on spring break, in mexico, my senior year in college she never once asked me if anything went on. (Nothing did, I love her too much, although let me tell you, if you have a daughter dont let her go to mexico on spring break, things happen down in mexico!)

I asked her why she didnt ask, and she said that she didnt have to because she trusts me and knew I would never do anything to hurt her. Which is true. But after hearing that, I'm pretty sure I'm marrying this one.

Oh and she works for Ford.

rock on, my father-in-law ownes a snap-on franchise, she used to help him load and inventory tools when she was younger. When everyone is hanging out working on someones car, we joke she is better having around since she knows what tools to get over the one non-mech. inclined friend who outside of electric tools (he is an electrition) doesnt know jack.

Well said. I too, am an immature fuuck. I also can't stand public affection. I HATE with a passion holding hands in public!

I'm not married, but we've talked about it. Been together for almost 2.5 years. Basically, plain and simple, i'm an asswhole and if she can tollerate me then she's for sure the one. We had been dating a little over a month and she bought me a new pair of nitto drag radials :D A few months ago she bought me new front tires too. She also tollerates my music which isn't her taste at all. I listen to hardcore/metal :) She knows i'll be a cool dad when the time comes :nice:

Oh no...the 'M' word. I won't get married until I'm out of school with a decent job and my/our own place to live.

And I just hate holding hands in public because my palms sweat too much. At least it doesn't look so bad when we're in privacy. :D

Yeah, 16 is really young, but who are we to say. My brother (18) is dating a 16 year old girl for six months now. All girls think about marriage from the time they are like 15, but at 16 I don't think they have the maturatity to seriously consider a decision of that magnitude.

I've been dating my girlfriend for 10 months now. The summers really suck when we are apart. (She lives in Michigan and me in Minnesota). But when we're back at school (Michigan) things are great. I guess the tip off is just that when you're with her nothing else matters. I feel like when I'm with my girl that everything I'm worrying about is gone. And when a day apart from her seems like a week.

I definitley agree with Joe. Hanging out with other girls can bother them. But you just need to explain yourself and make sure she feels comfortable with it.

21 years in Nov. I just knew this was the one when she Says " Go ahead and spend money on your cars because I will always know your home in the garage and not in another womans arms" I was sold and $1million dollars later still trying to catch the faster guy next door...LOL

Hey you're the one that has to match your tux vest to whatever pastel color is curently in fashion this prom season.

:owned:

Funny story: I'm lookin for a truck for a daily driver, either an F-150 (first choice), Silverado 1500, or Sierra. She's like you can't get the regular cab. I'm like why not, I don't want the back seat, just the bench. She's like Adam, trust me, you need the back seat, I won't let you get the regular cab.

So now I'm getting fired up.

She goes... "you need the back because where are we gonna put the baby seat?" :owned: :owned: :damnit:
