there is only an advantage to the swap when the modifications leave you with a car that is becoming a problem. The problems are most often the result of a cam change that doesn't provide the vac readings the computer needs to determine operating perameters. Head/intake/exhaust...near all boltons will work well with SD. There are cams that will provide the info the computer needs to operate well under SD also. SD cars have even been known to run quicker than MAF cars, not much, not always..but sometimes. Basically what I'm saying is you don't need the switch untill times comes that it's required...I converted to accomdate the engine I was installing otherwise I'd still run SD.
