friend of mine is getting a 87 coupe , all stock 5spd , 79K miles cowl hood , new paint and welds and new tires for 2300 bucks . trying help him out .

The whole thing is probably less than $300 using junkyard parts.

Want a 80 MM MAF from the junkyard 'cause 70 MM's too small? See http://www.pro-flow.com/old files/apchart.htm and find an 80 MM MAF that matches you injectors. You might have to swap the MAF's plastic electrical connector, but a safety pin and 10 minutes worth of effort makes that an easy job.
