A guy i meet at the track has an 83mm pro-m maf for sale for like 125 bucks. The question is because i have a supercharger does it have to be calibrated for a s/c?
Some mafs are blow-thru designs and the other are i guess suck-thru? All i no is one goes before the supercharger and i think the other goes after the supercharger. Not sure though
well i was just wonderin because the new pro-m ones have different calibrations for s/c applications go here to see what im talking about. http://www.massairsystems.com/METERS.htm
I have a 80mm Pro-M calibrated for my injector size and also a s/c. I thought it made a world of difference since I ran the car w/ a n/a mass air for about 20 miles (Vortech fails to tell you that you need a mass air calibrated for a s/c). However, someone on here once said you can accomplish the same thing by merely turning up your fuel pressure since the s/c meters are just made to sun richer. I would definately check with pro-m since I am sure there is a lot more involved than just that. Either way, if you have a blower then get a meter calibrated for a blower. You can also send it to Pro-M (now under a different management) and get it recalibrated for a blower.
There is a difference between NA and SC but it is a minor adjustment that Pro-M makes, Just be sure it is calibrated to your injector size and if not send it to pro-m for the calibration and let them know it is going in a SC car and they will handle it all for you $100 is thee cost you are looking at
