Mass air question

Will the electronics out of another 5.0 vehicle work on a stock mustang mass air? I took the electronics out to use on my c&l. Someone else needs my meter to put on his car till his pro-m comes back from being calibrated.

No i know my mass air will work on his car but i need to get the electronics. I went to the junkyard and they had no 5.0 stangs. They did have some trucks and lincolns. I just need to know if i can take the electronics out of another meter from a non mustang.

The housing and sensor work together. Putting a sensor in a different style housing will produce unknow results.

If no one else finds it before I get home from work, I can post some info on the MAS (the black electronics box).

You can even use some from the Taurus.

Can't remember the specifics though.

Check out this site, they list numerous MAS sensors by application and part #.

Basically if it says F1Z on the top, it will work. This is assuming the MAS is going in a stock 5.0 HO MAF tube (55mm).

A word of caution though...
If this person does not have 19lb injectors, then all this work will be worth spit. The stock MAF/MAS will not work well with larger injectors.

Thanks for the info. He has 24lb injectors now with a pro-m mass air. His car is totaly stock exept for that and mufflers. I'm putting my 19's in his car and taking his 24's. After my h/c/i swap i think i need to upgrade.
