I have searched the forum, found nothing, so here goes: I have converted from the I6 to a V8. The suspension has been swapped, the front disks and rear 8' from a 74 Maverick. While at it in the junk yard, I removed the power assist assembly from the maverick as well. Any one out there ever tried to use a maverick steering setup? From what I can tell ( by holding parts next to each other ) everything looks the same. I swapped to a 86 model 5.0 and still have the power steering pump and brackets, no problems there. If it will work, any differences between a manual steering gear box and the power model, how about the pitman arm?
