maybe use a snowplow solenoid for electric fan?

I am installing a taurus fan in my 90 gt. I dont want to use the common 30 amp relays. I just bought a snowflow continous duty selonoid from advance autoparts for $11. I figured if they can power of a snowplow motor it should handle any electric fan with else. The bosch 75amp relays are hard to find locally or i would be using one.

Just wondering if anyone else is using the snowplow solenoid?

IBTFDR! (In before the first dccontrol recommendation!) Not sure but you'll be getting a lot of recommendations to look at www.dccontrol.com and not use relays at all--absolutely the best way to do an electric fan install!
