Met up with this guy at a car meet locally. He's got a built 306 with stock heads/cam. 93 fox, 5 speed with 3.73's, edelbrock performer 5.0 intake, exhaust, cold air... all that small stuff. He doesn't tell anyone hes got a built 306 though.

1st race - from a 20 mph roll, we go, we both spin some, i get it in 2nd, he put half a car on me, and till about 110 my front bumper was at his rear bumper...

2nd race - dig - i spin horribly and he pulls low-end and i couldn't make it up top end...doesn't help when i miss 4th gear either, he put about 3 full cars in between us till 120

he was surprised i stuck with him so well from the roll... next mod might be nittos lol, fixed my gas pedal sticking earlier, just tightened the tb position screw some, gas pedal moves freely now, doesn't stick anymore.... havent really ran anyone lately... just thought i'd let you guys know how i did

He put a stock cam and heads into a built 306? You both have the same mods. His car is probably a bit lighter.

Yeah, I wouldnt exactly call that car "built". Just a rebuilt engine with stock junk thrown back on it with new pistons, rings and bearings.

Sounds about right. Depending on which model Fox it is, it doesn't have much if any weight advantage on your 95. When I still had my 90 GT, I would race my buddy in his 94 GT convertible ... my car would pull slightly on his, but not by as much as I would have hoped.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
