Anyone else here use or build mechanical keyboards?

I find them fascinating. I haven’t built one yet, but I intend to.

Currently, I have a Vortex Race 3.

Show ‘em if you got ‘em and share the specs and builds.

"Back in the day..." (Old Guy post follows...)

One of my college roommates had one of the first electric typewriters with the built-in LED screen and internal memory, but it otherwise looked like a typewriter. He'd sit at his desk for hours typing reports, with NO PAPER in the thing! When done typing, he could just stick a pile of paper in it and print the report he was working on.

So, with this "Qwertywriter..." How well does it hold up if you walk over to the guy in the next cubicle and, say, whack him upside the head with this?
